How to Post Links on Facebook

Say you just found this really cool site and you want to share it with all your friends on Facebook! This article will tell you how.

Steps

   Open your web browser.

   Browse to the page you want to post.

   Locate the address bar area from your browser. This bar is long and almost always a white bar. It should have your address (beginning with "http://www." inside of it-sometimes the http:// is omitted due to your browser's settings), but it's all still there internally in the end.

   Click the link to select this, and to make sure you've selected the address text and not other nearby text, or to make sure your not moving Internet tabs around in your browser.

   Copy the full address down, using the Copy and Paste method.

   Visit the Facebook home page.

   Login to your Facebook account, with your Facebook credentials, if you haven't done so already.

   Click your name from the top right corner.

   Click into your "new status" text box area.

    Paste the address into the box.

    Wait for the link to initialize and load the information for adding the link.
    • Only if you'd like to add a customized message, you'll need to complete the next 2 steps.

    Remove the address you previously posted into the "new status address text-box".

    Insert your personalized message, talking about the link.

    Click the "Post" button to completely post the link.
